I Edition

The first Youth Mosaic Competition "Città di Ravenna" was a very constructive experience and gave us the opportunity to investigate the contemporary youth mosaic world. The results of this investigation were undoubtedly amazing from a quality point of view.

More than two hundred young artists took part in the competition with completely different mosaic projects, both from a technical and an aesthetic point of view, thus revealing an extremely diversified expressive panorama.

We tried, with the first selection, to acknowledge and convey the quality and richness of the mosaic works created by young artists, which is shared by all the projects, thus depicting a very heterogeneous panorama.

With this second competition, the voluntary Cultural Association RavennArte reconnects directly to the first one and resumes some of its features, but broadens its horizons thanks to active collaboration with the art school Istituto d'Arte Gino Severini of Ravenna which represents, together with the Ravenna Fine Arts Academy, one of the most prestigious reference points for young mosaicists.
